AWAKEN’S PASTOR\/COACH: Scott Vermillion<\/b><\/p>\n

\"My<\/a><\/p>\n

I grew up in Kinston, NC, a small town near the coast.\u00a0 There I became a Christian at age 16, and I immediately got involved in ministry. \u00a0Since then, I have had the privilege of serving thousands of people in several different ministry leadership roles.\u00a0 I have served in the church as a lay minister and elder, served on staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, and served as a pastor in two churches.<\/p>\n

Over the course of my 30 years in ministry, there have been several influences that have shaped my life, but nothing compares with the spiritual coaches who have shaped me during this time.\u00a0 As a result, one of my greatest joys is serving as a spiritual coach for others.\u00a0 I love investing in leaders whether they are just starting out in ministry, or they are seasoned pastors.\u00a0 My strengths lie\u00a0in helping people connect to God in a way that inspires them to use their unique giftedness to lead others in their family and ministry.<\/p>\n

I am passionate about\u00a0Awaken Ministry because so few pastors and ministry\u00a0leaders have spiritual coaches.\u00a0 Most people in ministry lead alone and they end up discouraged in ministry as a result.\u00a0 In this season of my life, I want to create healthy churches by developing healthy pastors and ministry\u00a0leaders.\u00a0 I want to awaken leaders to the joy of God\u2019s overwhelming love for them.\u00a0 Through one-on-one mentoring, writing, and speaking I seek to invest in pastors and ministry\u00a0leaders in order that they might be well equipped to release what they actually experience of God\u2019s love to those they serve in their ministry.<\/p>\n

Today, I live in Cedar Park, TX with my wife, Samantha, and my two daughters Lydia and Claire, and I serve as a pastor at Riverbend Church<\/a>.<\/p>\n

MISSION: To Give Life to Leaders.<\/b><\/p>\n

\"Sheep\"Our mission\u00a0is to give life to leaders. \u00a0We want to invest in you, so you can continue to\u00a0invest in the people in your ministry.\u00a0 Awaken’s coaching ministry invests in leaders in order to help them continue to grow in their own spiritual formation, leadership, and marriage.\u00a0 No one should ever lead in ministry alone.\u00a0 Awaken is an organization committed to encouraging leaders to help make their life in ministry a little sweeter along the way.<\/p>\n

BELIEFS: Apostles’ Creed<\/b><\/p>\n

  1. We believe in God the Father, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth:<\/li>\n
  2. And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord:<\/li>\n
